Pre-Primary

The Pre-Primary Class meets the developmental needs of the Toddler child. The ages span from eighteen months to three years old.

Age appropriate work is kept at a child’s eye level and readiness level. Various materials spark his/her curiosity to engage the child to independent learning.

Activities such as hanging their jacket, pouring water, will foster confidence.

Lessons are given in color, number, and letter recognition. There will be extensions to every work when the Teacher decides the child is ready for the next step.

Toilet needs are met when the child is at this stage of development.
There will be a specific nap time and lunch time.

The child will strengthen large motor skills on our outdoor playground. If the weather is not suitable the class will use this time at our indoor play area.

Your child will be gaining social skills at this level.

A Montessori Teacher observes and documents each students abilities daily.
At parent-teacher conferences your child’s Teacher will discuss his/her progress in all areas of development.
