The materials in the three to six year old room are arranged sequentially.
This allows a proper transition from easier to more difficult concepts.
The Teacher will monitor each child’s progress from the beginning until the child is proficient in his work. His/her report card will conclude the progress made. Areas of the classroom are Language, Sensorial, Mathematics, Science, Practical Life, Culture/Geography, Art, and Botany.
In every Montessori classroom the child has freedom of movement. He/she may choose his own work and leave his seat as he likes.
The child absorbs from the environment. Teachers carefully prepare the environment with order, beauty, age appropriate materials and activities daily.
Kindergarten
At the Kindergarten level which is the most important stage in a Montessori classroom, the student is considered a leader. The student is encouraged to teach and guide younger classmates. In turn he/she will be a stronger learner.
Abstract concepts become concrete. It is most beneficial to the child to complete the three year cycle in a Montessori School.
Your young learner will be academically, emotionally, socially, and physically ready for first grade and beyond.
